About the studio
Our story
Founder Amara Marlowe spent nine years cutting hair in fast-turnover salons before opening her own — with a simple standard: no appointment gets rushed, no matter how full the book is. That rule is still the first thing every new stylist learns here.
Today the studio is a small team of six, each trained in cutting, color, and texture, so you can move between services without starting over with a new stylist each time. We keep the client list smaller than we could to protect the thing that got us here in the first place — time.
A few standards every stylist here holds to, regardless of the service.
If a look you want will take three visits to get there safely, we'll tell you that in the first five minutes — not after your hair's already been through it.
A style is judged by how it looks on day twelve, styled by you at home, not just on the day you leave the chair.
Every stylist trains beyond their license — in cutting technique, color theory, and texture work — on an ongoing basis, not just at hire.
Six stylists, each with their own focus — book with someone specific, or tell us your goal and we'll match you.
